How To Enable SSL In Moodle?

The default protocol when you use Moodle to build your educational platform is over an HTTP connection. Be aware that this type of connection is not secure and endangers the secrecy of a variety of personal and administrative information, such as usernames, password or even bank details. You can easily take measures to strengthen the security by implementing the HTTPS connection.

There are a few simple steps you need to perform in order to enable the SSL for your website.

First access your Moodle administration panel:

Next, navigate to the Security section:

Afterward, click on HTTP security on the drop-down menu:

The last thing you need to do is to tick the Use HTTPS for logins box, as shown in the screenshot below and then scroll down the same page and click on Save changes:

As soon as you have done these steps your website is going to load using a secure connection.
