All our servers are using Solid-State drives (SSD) as a foundation for their performance. SSD massively outperforms traditional spinning hard-disk drives and provide up to 20 times faster page load time for your PrestaShop store.

CDN

Serving your PrestaShop store via CDN (Content Delivery Network) also greatly improves speed - it enables you to serve your store from the location nearest to your visitor. We provide you with a CLoudFlare CDN on/off switch in your cPanel.

PrestaShop faq

Yes. All of our servers cover the system requirements of PrestaShop script. By doing this you can simply deploy your files and start working on your website.

PrestaShop is designed for all types of online merchandise, from goods and services to downloadable products. PrestaShop allows the user to have the flexibility that he needs to start the perfect online shop, which will serve his exact needs.

PrestaShop is a powerful open source application, which means that it is completely free for people to use. It has all the flexibility that the other eCommerce applications have such as the famous Multi store option.

PrestaShop unique design allows users to have multiple amount of shops in a single website. In order to achieve this you simply need to enable the Multi store option which is located in the Admin Back-end of the application. Just go to Preferences, General, Enable multi store and select “Yes”.

Once you have done this you will be able to create new online stores with just a “click”, the greatest part of Multi store is that you can choose to use the already installed themes and plugins which you have on your “Main Store” and all the other features.

In case your PrestaShop website is not working, you simply rename the “.htaccess” file of the application to something like “.htaccess_old”, what this will do it is going to allow you to enter the Admin Area of the application without any issues, once you are there you can revert the changes which caused the inconvenience.

After that you simply need to generate a new “.htaccess” file which is way easier than what it sounds like. To generate a new “.htaccess” file simply go to PrestaShop Admin backend, Preferences, SEO and URLs, turn the Friendly URL option to “No”, save then turn the same option back to “Yes”, this will make the application to recreate the “.htaccess” file in the way that is required. In case you are using the Multi store option, simply go to Preferences, General, disable the Multi store option and enable it again, this will add the Multi store code in your .htaccess file.

The easiest method of installing themes to PrestaShop is by first downloading the theme to your local machine. Once you have the desired theme ready access the Admin Panel of your application, click on the “Preferences” tab, there will be a drop down menu from which you should choose “Themes”.

This will load the page with all the installed themes, click on the “Add New Theme” button at the top right corner, this will lead you to the Import page, from there click on “Add File”, choose the archive file containing the installation file of your theme (usually a .zip file), once you have done this click Save in the lower right corner of the Import window. After the installation process has finished PrestaShop will take you back to the main “Theme” section. From there you can activate the newly installed theme.

The easiest method of installing modules to your application is from the Administration Panel of your PrestaShop. Simply go to the “Modules” tab and click on “add a new module”, from there click on “Browse” if the file is on your compute, select the archive file containing the desired module, and click on “Upload this module”.

If the installation is successful, the module will appear in your list of modules under the “Module” tab. Locate the module you just uploaded in the same list of modules and click on the “Install” button. Note that it is highly recommended to close the store if you are installing some kind of payment method module.

PrestaShop allows the sending of message throughout the steps of registration and placing orders, once you have configured how these messages will be sent. To configure the SMTP settings of your application just login to the Admin Panel, Advanced Parameters, click on the “Email” tab, once you are there select “Set my own SMTP parameters”.

From there, you should enter the “Mail domain name”, which is the domain name on which your email account is residing, this field can be left empty, “SMTP server” is the host name of the server where your website is hosted. “SMTP user” field should be filled with your email account, for example myname@domain.com. “SMTP password” is the field where you enter the password for the email account you entered at the above field “SMTP user”. “Encryption” it is recommended to use SSL or TLS this way your mail will be safer, in case you choose one of those two options you should enter the appropriate ports, for example TLS for Gmail is “587” and for SSL is “465”.

PrestaShop has a built in caching system called Smarty, you can clear the cache of your application from the Admin Panel or Manually from the server. The recommended way to do this is from the Admin Panel, simply go to Advanced Parameters, Performance, once you are there select the radio button “Force compile” then turn the option to “Yes” and click on “Save” at the bottom right corner of the window. Go to the front-office of your store and refresh the page.

In case this does not work, you should locate the following directories in the root directory of your application: cache/samrty/compile; cache/smarty/cache; img/tmp and delete all of the content of these directories (Do not delete the directories).

Customers are the most important thing about eCommerce. PrestaShop loves taking good care of their customers by adding an outstanding customer management features, which you can find in the “Customers” menu.

From there, you can review useful details about the customers using your website, their current shop carts, customer services and more. You can also create groups for special customers who will receive a discount upon purchase.

One of the key elements in eCommerce are the shipping methods you can provide, there is a huge variety of shipping methods available, but you have to be aware of things like mixed carriers, regional taxes, weight of packages and the price of the product itself of course.

For your convenience, PrestaShop makes it easy for you to handle all of these. You can find all the useful options PrestaShop provide in their “Shipping” menu, there you can find the “Handling” of products your “Carrier Options” and much more.
