To create a backup of your Xoops website you will need to do two things:
First, download a backup of your website files using an FTP client. You can find our FTP video tutorials here:

The second thing you will need to do is export your website database. You can easily export your site database using cPanel by accessing phpMyAdmin. Simply select the database you want to export and use the Export feature to download a copy of it.
