We are going to show you how to reset your Elgg administrative password. The first one is to use the “Lost Password” feature on the login page:
Enter your administrative email, and the password will be sent to that email address:
If you have not used a valid email address, we will show you how to change the email address in the database so you can reset the password. First, login your cPanel and find “phpMyAdmin”:
Find your database and click on it:
In the tables overview click on the table called “elgg_users_entity”:
Find your administrative user and click the edit icon next to it:
On the next page find the line showing “email” and change its value to a valid email address:
Click the “Go” button to apply the changes. Now go back to the “Lost Password” page and reset the password using the email you have just entered.
