ClipBucket CMS is a PHP/SQL application and as such you will need to download the installation files from the official ClipBucket( website first. After having your file downloaded, please extract it on your local computer. The extracted files should be uploaded under your hosting account where you would like to have ClipBucket installed. This can be done via an FTP client by following the instructions in our great ftp video tutorial.

If you would like to have your ClipBucket directly accessible at you should upload the files under the public_html directory. Alternatively, if you would like to have it located under a subfolder you have to create a subdirectory under your public_html folder where the files should be uploaded. If you upload your files under /public_html/videos/ your ClipBucket installation will be accessible under

As soon as your files are uploaded under your account you should proceed with your MySQL database creation process. You can easily create a MySQL database for the new script installation by following the instructions in our tutorial.

Once you have completed all of the above, you can initiate the installation process. The setup is pretty fast and will start when you access:

The welcome page will load. As we are setting up a new installation, click on the “Fresh Installation” link.

The next page provides the licensing information which you may review to make sure that it will not be violated when you start modifying your website.

When you have reviewed the information, click on the “I Accept” button. It is located at the bottom right corner of the page.

On the next page the script will check the directories permission. If there is an error on that page you may set “allow write” permissions for the folder which has not passed the check using your FTP client.

When all checks are passed continue to the next step of the setup which is the database details configuration:

You should fill in the form with the details for the database created at the beginning of this tutorial. The MySQL host should stay “localhost”. In very rare cases it may be different and this depends on your hosting environment. If after filling the details you see  a “Unable to connect to database server" message you should contact your host to provide with the database host and any other details which you may need to complete the installation.

If you have an account with TMDHosting you may post a ticket via your Clients Area and our Technical Support Team will provide you with the details you need.

Once the correct database access details are filled in, you can finish the installation. When you click Continue with the installation button a page with the administrator login details will be loaded:

You may click on the admin area URL and start building your website.
