What is an Addon domain?

If you like to host an additional website on your account and you don’t want to pay for another hosting account, the solution would be to create an Addon domain. An Addon domain is an additional website on your account that shares the resources of the account with the main website. Addon domain URLs look like www.yournewdomain.com.

In order to have an additional website on your account, you need to order the Addon slot extra feature and have a domain name that you wish to associate with it. Both the Addon slot and the new domain name can be ordered via the Client area of your account. If you already own the domain name that you wish to make an Addon one, you would need to point it to our servers. Please check our video tutorials on that matter: http://www.tmdhosting.com/tutorials/video/domains.html#dns

After purchasing the Addon slot you need to submit a ticket to our technical support team so that they can handle the request of setting up an Addon domain name for you – that is of course, Free of charge.

Using the Addon slot extra feature, you can host up to 5 websites in total – these are: the main website and 4 additional websites. Note that for each additional website an Addon slot would be required which means that you can have up to 4 Addon slots per shared hosting account.

Note that you have to use the cPanel of your primary account as there is no separate one for websites hosted on addon slots. Also, you can not create parked domain names for websites hosted on addon slots.
