SEO simply means Search Engine Optimization. SEO is the process of ensuring that your website and its content are put together in the best possible way to get noticed by search engines. Good SEO will make sure that your site is hitting all the right points to move up the ranks of Google. All search engines have a specific algorithm they use to determine whether your web page is relevant for the searches that people type into their platforms.

The search indexes are looking for the most relevant content to show in their search results. Very important for page ranking of your website is:

  • Content – determined by the template your website is using, your pages text and the descriptive titles that you are given.
  • Authority – linking to authoritative websites uses your website as a reference.
  • Performance – loading speed of your website is important too.
  • User experience – your website should be correctly structured and developed for easy navigation.

The SEO definition is:  to fit all of the criteria of the words on your page, the titles, the links to your website, the anchor texts, and the fresh content.

SEO is a three letter acronym short for Search Engine Optimization. Search engine optimization about trying to rank higher in search engines. To rank higher you make changes to your website that make it easier for search engines to understand your content. Also, it can mean getting links from other websites. However, it is really about more than just a bunch of dumb rules that people made up to show up higher on Google. It’s about reaching out to and commmunicating with people who are using Google to solve their problems. If you write for humans, not robots, you will find success in your SEO efforts.
