Intranet Suggestions: WordPress vs Joomla vs Drupal or others??

I want an easy to implement, full-featured, robust intranet system for our internal communications. Features include: directory, file management, events calendar, asset booking, project management.

Any suggestions?

WordPress:

It is a widely used application mostly focused on content management and blogging but using the great variety of plugins available for the script you can achieve almost everything you can think of. The interface is very intuitive and user-friendly and that makes the software a great tool both for experienced users and novices in the web applications field. As it comes to the specified functionalities you would like to use you should find the appropriate plugins to install on the WordPress application. You can look for them in the official WordPress plugin repository. Here is a list of some plugins designed for project management.

Joomla:

This application is also a Content Management System and it is not focused on file or project management. To use it in the way you need you will also have to install some additional extensions to the core so you will be provided with the features you have mentioned above. You can find an appropriate extension here.

Drupal:

This script offers a huge variety of functionalities but it is also a little harder to get used to, since it is designed for more experienced users. It is not advisable to use this application in case that you do not have an experience with web development due to the fact that it would be more difficult for you to achieve what you are up to.

Based on our experience WordPress would be the most appropriate solution from the three applications mentioned in your question.
