Sometimes you will want to hide your actual domain name in the URL field in your client’s browser and present it as another name. This is called domain name masking. Once you configure your site to mask the real domain name, it will display the mask rather than the actual URL.

In order to mask your domain name you can follow these steps:

• Go to your cPanel -> File Manager web application
• Navigate to your public_html folder
• Create new file and name it as index.html

RE: Domain name masking

• Open the new created file by selecting it and choosing the Code Editor icon

RE: Domain name masking

• Paste the following code by replacing http://mask.com with the domain that you want to be masked:

<html>

<head>

<title>Page Title</title>

<meta name="description" content="Description">

<meta name="keywords" content="Keyword1, Keyword2">

</head>

<frameset rows="100%,0" border="0">

<frame src="http://mask.com" frameborder="0">

<frame frameborder="0">

</frameset>

</html>

• Click on the Save Changes button

RE: Domain name masking

After you complete these steps, when your visitors access your site, they will be presented with the content of http://mask.com and their browsers will display your domain name in the URL address field rather than http://mask.com
