How to Restore your SugarCRM from your Backup

You can restore your backup by importing the above mentioned sql file into an empty database or into a SugarCRM database. In order to do that, you go to our PhpMyAdmin again and choose the database you have specified to use with our SugarCRM. Then, click on the SQL tab and from the second menu browse to the sql file on your PC and click on the "Go" button. If the query is successful, your database has been populated with the backup data.

If you decide to import your database back up into a newly created database your should reconfigure your SugarCRM as well. This can be done via your cPanel -> file manager -> navigate to the SugarCRM folder and open the config.php file. You should locate the following lines:

'db_user_name' => 'cpaneluser_db',
'db_password' => 'pass123',
'db_name' => 'cpaneluser_db',

Please modify the lines in the configuration file in order to apply your new database name, username and password in order to have your SugarCRM working with the new database name.
