How to enable SSL connection in OpenCart

We will provide you with the instructions on how to enable SSL for your OpenCart protected forms and pages.

The first a very important thing in order to access:

https://yourdomain.com

is to have a SSL certificate installed for your account. If you do have certificate purchased already and you have account with us you may post a ticket via your Clients Area and request the details required for the installation of the certificate for your account. If you do not have a SSL certificate or account with TMDHosting you may contact our Sales Team via the live chat and the toll free number available on our website:

As soon as the private SSL is set for your domain you could login to your store admin back-end from:

http://yourdomain.com/admin

If you have completed the installation under a subfolder “store” for an example the above URL will change to:

http://yourdomain.com/store/admin

When the back-end is completely rendered navigate to System > Settings tab:



It will take a few second for the Settings page to load. When it is completely rendered navigate to the server section:



As you may notice on the above image we are one click away from enabling the SSL. Here you just need to change the “Use SSL” radio button to yes and click on the save function at the very top right corner of the page.
