Mambo Tutorial - Adding Content

How to add a content item:

 

1. Login to your Mambo Admin area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Click on All Content Items

 

3. Click on the content item you want to edit

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Fill in the information:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Title: The title of the new content item.

- Title Alias: The name it will be added in the admin are when you list the items.

- Section: Which section does the item belong to.

- Category: Which category is the content under.

 

4. On the right side you will see several options about Publishing Info:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Show on frontpage: Mark the box if you want it displayed on the front page.

- Published: Select if you want the item to be visible for users or just for the administrator.

- Access Level: Who has access to the content item

- Author Alias: Like a signature for the author.

- Override Created Date: to enter the date the item was submitted, you might wish to change the real create date.

- Start Publishing: Date to auto-publish the item.

- Finish Publishing: Date to auto-unpublish the item.

 

5. Click on Save from the menu at the top of the page.
