How to add a content item in Joomla 1.5

 

In order to add new content to your Jooomla! CMS you have to login at your Administrator panel, then navigate to the "Content Tab". There you should click the "Article manager" link.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You will be redirected to the Article Manager, where you can create, modify and remove your content. There is a menu with various functions on the right side of the screen. There you should choose the "New" button and click it, in order to add new content.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The menu on the right is the main navigation tool for you Jooomla 1.5 content management. There you will find the following options:

 

- New -- using this button you will be able to create a new content item, as well as assign it to a category. Joomla features a very rich WYGWYS editor which you can use to modify your content. It is accessible through this button, too.

- Unarchive -- use this button to take off an article previously sent to the archive.

- Archive -- this button will allow you to create a new archive item.

- Publish -- this button must be used to publish a content item that was previously unpublished.

- Unpublish -- with this button you can unpublish a certain item(s) from your content without deleting it/them.

- Copy -- using this one, you can copy the chosen article to a new one. Quite useful for duplication.

- Trash -- sends an article to the trash. If you dedice, you can put it off there with the same button.

- Edit -- this opens a WYGWYS editor to edit an already published article.
