How to start advertising in my Dolphin network community?
If you are not charging your visitors for membership or, at all, your network is not profiting from members, which is pretty common, if your expenses grow, you might think of placing advertising on your website.
This can be done via your Dolphin’s administrator area > Tools > Banners:
Although it is not exactly banners, which you might place, on first sight, but text links, it works at least for start raising funds. In fact, you can place both text links and banners, as well as choose from four different positions – Top, Left, Right and Bottom.
Say that we would like to add a text link at the top center, advertising professional Dolphin hosting services. The form for adding such a banner will look like this:
As you will notice, the form takes HTML, which means you can modify most of the aspects of your text links. Be aware, however, that this might possibly interfere with the Dolphin’s CSS and code. If so, tune up the code until they come along together. It is a rare case, though, but keep it in mind. The other thing you might notice is that you have ability to run timed campaigns. You can set the start and end date, as well the start and end hour of the link.
At the top of the page, you will also notice a pretty good statistics tool, indicating the banners you have activated impressions and clicks:

You can see that the same tackle as with the text link – HTML in the “Text” box. In this case we use HTML to add the image of the banner, as there is no built in or other capability of uploading banners at this time.
When you add the banner, you can check how it and the text link goes. The text link should appear at the top like:
The banner link should appear properly at the bottom like this:
