How to manage the user permissions in ClipBucket

We will provide you with the basic instructions on how to manage the user privileges on your ClipBucket installation.

The first step is to login to the administrator back-end of the script:

http://yourdomain.com /admin_area/

If the script was installed under a subfolder, for example “public_html/videos” the admin URL will be:

http://yourdomain.com/videos/admin_area/

When the administrator area is completely rendered click on the “Users” tab to expand the menu:



There are several menus here which will provide you with the functions to manage your users and users’ categories. The “Manage Categories” is to create new such entries. The categories will not offer any permission settings. However adding all the users with certain privileges will allow you to manage these faster.

You may need to use the “Add Member” function only if you need to create administrator accounts for your ClipBucket website. As you may have the registrations allowed and this will add the user entries “Registered User” permissions.

The important here is to ensure that each user levels group is with the access permissions you would like to allow:



There are 6 predefined groups on the default ClipBucket installation. You may edit these or add new groups. Using this function with the categories will make the users management a  pretty easy and fast process.
