How to manage the basic settings of ClipBucket
We will show you in a few simple steps how to manage the basic settings of your ClipBucket based website.
The first step is to login to the administrator back-end of the script:
http://yourdomain.com /admin_area/
If the script was installed under subfolder for an example public_html/videos the admin URL will be:
http://yourdomain.com/videos/admin_area/
Once you open the admin URL, navigate to Stats and Configurations > Website Configurations:

This menu has a few very important settings. The first one is the user registration:

You may want to disable the users registrations and provide accounts only to certain people you know to upload videos.
The second important configuration which should be checked before you start building the website is the system paths for the binaries required for the video upload to function:

These are correct but in rare cases the paths may be different. It is best to contact your host and request that information. If you have hosting account with us you may post a ticket and our Technical Support Team will provide you with the path to the binaries on the server which your account resides on.
The next thing is the video conversion method. The script has two ways of initiating the conversion. The first one is preconfigured. Each video upload, once completed, will initiate a conversion process immediately.
The second option is to use cron to initiate the conversion process. This is done in two steps:
1. Via the same menu the system paths for the binaries required for the conversion change the “Use Cron” to yes with the radio button:

2. Navigate to the left main menu to the “ClipBucket Helper”:

You will see here all the Cron Jobs needed for this function to work. The Cron Jobs you may configure via your cPanel > Cron Jobs tab.
It is highly recommended to use the cron job conversion only if the default one is not working.
Another important configuration which you may want to take care of is the e-mail settings for the script:

The default configuration is set to use phpmail function and it should work without issues. However as SMTP support is available for this script it is recommended to configure it instead of the phpMail especially if your e-mails are not hosted on the same server as your website.
