How to install WordPress on a TMDHosting account:

 

The WordPress blog application is available in the Fantastico Automated Install tool. It allows you to install it fast and easy with few clicks.

 

1. First off, you need to login to your cPanel using the link provided to you in the welcome e-mail:

http://yourdomain.com/cpanel

 

2. Navigate to the Fantastico icon (blue smiley face) under the Software / Services panel as shown on the image below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Select WordPress from the menu on the left that is under the Blogs section.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Once you click on WordPress you will see the application installer including a short description of the software and the current version with a link to install. Also you will see all instances of WordPress installed under your account.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. Click on New Installation.

 

6. Fill in the information as follows:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Install on domain: Select your domain name from the dropdown menu.

 

- Install in directory: Leave blank if you want it to be in the web folder for your domain and to be accessible as http://yourdomain.com or select a folder to install it into. If you select a folder, the intallation will be available at http://yourdomain.com/folder.

 

- Admin Access data: Fill in the admin user and password you want for the installation.

 

- Base configuration.

 

- Admin Nickname: The Name that will be used for the admin in the Blog.

 

- Admin E-mail: The e-mail of the administrator.

 

- Site Name: The name of the site(It appears on the window when your site is open and appears in search engines).

 

- Description: Add few words that describe your Blog.

 

- E-mail account configuration.

 

- E-mail account username: Fill in the full e-mail address of the mail you have created with TMD Hosting.

 

- E-mail account password: The password for the e-mail address.

- POP/SMTP Server: It should be filled automatically to be yourdomain.com.

 

- POP/SMTP Port: pre-set, should be 110.

7. Click on Install WordPress button and click next to finish the installation.

 

8. You will receive the login details and link to your new WordPress installation.
