EPP code and how to get it
The EPP code (short for Extensible Provisioning Protocol code) is used as a security measure for domain name transfers. The EPP code is issued by your current domain name registrar when a domain name transfer is requested. The code should then be provided to the registrar you are planning to move your domain name to.
The EPP code can be obtained from your Client Area->Domains->My Domains. Once the page loads, click on “View/Edit” next to the domain for which you would like to receive an EPP code. On the next page, simply scroll to the bottom and click on the “Get EPP Code” button. You will be redirected to a new page on which you should see “The EPP Code for your domain is:” and your EPP code after that. Copy it and provide it to your new registrar in order to initiate the domain name transfer.
Note, that not all top level domains support and require an EPP code in order to be transferred – .de and .edu domains for example are some of the exceptions.
